About

Brooklyn Psychotherapy

I am a Brooklyn-based, bilingual Spanish-English psychotherapist specializing in play therapy, adolescent therapy, parent guidance, and psychoanalytic psychotherapy for adults. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW 082372) in New York State, I bring extensive experience from diverse mental health settings, such as, major NYC hospitals and outpatient clinics.

I am trained in evidence-based modalities including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic, and psychoanalytic approaches. Currently pursuing my PhD at Smith College School for Social Work, I also hold an MSW from NYU Silver School of Social Work and a BA in Human Development from Cornell University.

My clinical journey encompasses serving as a child therapist at Mount Sinai Hospital’s child and adolescent outpatient psychiatry clinic, where I helped establish the adolescent DBT treatment team for high-risk youth. I have integrated mental health services across diverse settings—from elementary and middle schools to pediatric clinics and GED programs. Beyond direct practice, I supervise graduate social workers and have served as an adjunct lecturer at NYU School of Social Work. Currently, I maintain both a private practice and a role as staff clinician at NYU Langone Brooklyn’s Family Health Center.

My commitment to professional growth inspires my active participation in hospital-based research on innovative child therapy techniques. I have completed advanced training through a three-year certificate program in child and adolescent psychoanalytic psychotherapy at the William Alanson White Institute and am an advanced candidate at both the Psychoanalytic Institute of the Contemporary Freudian Society and the Anni Bergman Parent-Infant Program.

My extensive work with children profoundly shapes my adult practice. I specialize in supporting adults navigating childhood trauma, life transitions, anxiety across the lifespan, and relationship challenges. I am proudly LGBTQ+ aware and allied.
